Waiting for self-check or image adjustment

Not on its own. Both messages mean the copier is carrying out routine adjustment to keep its output quality right. Wait for the adjustment to finish and the message to disappear.

“Wait (performing self-check)”

The copier is carrying out maintenance to keep its image quality. Wait until it finishes and the message disappears.

“Adjusting. Wait until printing resumed.”

The copier is making an adjustment it needs to keep its temperature and image quality right. This message may stay on for approximately 2 minutes. Wait until it finishes and the message disappears.

About the timing

The two-minute figure is approximate and relates to the “Adjusting” message. It is not a deadline. Keep waiting until the message clears.

If either message stays on for an unusually long time or keeps coming back, contact your service provider. Tell them your model name and the exact message shown.
