Setting all printers and MFDs to default to duplex printing is the single most effective step. Implementing print rules that encourage mono printing and restrict unnecessary colour output also helps. User education combined with visible reporting on print volumes can change behaviour over time. Pull-printing eliminates waste from jobs that are sent but never collected.
