Wrinkled copies: paper checks

Two paper-related causes are worth checking first: paper feeding in at an angle, and damp paper. Close up the gap between the paper and the drawer's side guides, and try paper from a freshly opened pack.

Check how the paper is loaded

A wide gap between the paper and the drawer's side guides lets sheets feed in at an angle. Move the guides in so they sit close to the paper.

Check the paper itself

Damp paper can wrinkle. Replace it with paper taken from newly opened wrapping.

Store spare paper so it stays usable

  • Keep it in its wrapping so it stays free of dust.
  • Keep it out of direct sunlight.
  • Store it somewhere dry.
  • Store it flat so it doesn't get folded or bent.

Never try to repair, take apart or modify the copier yourself. The manufacturer warns that doing so could cause a fire or an electric shock.

If copies are still wrinkled with fresh paper that is loaded correctly, contact your service provider with your model name and a sample of the affected output if you can.
