Practical benefits
The 361i adds speed while retaining the same broad paper range as adjacent A3 i-Series models. That can make it easier to compare models around workload and options rather than relearning the interface.
Scanning and workflow
The source records up to 100 images per minute single-sided and 200 double-sided with the appropriate feeder. Encrypted PDF, PDF/A and several common document formats are supported.

A6 to SRA3, custom sizes.
Security and administration
AES-256 encryption, IPsec, IEEE 802.1x, hard-drive overwrite, confidential fax and access controls are listed. Some authentication methods are optional rather than standard.
